Stunned Storm Hunters

I gloated about the fact that in my day there were no idiots chasing around the country producing video of violent weather.  This compulsion speaks for our modern disregard for the value of human life.

I congratulated myself, convinced that we oldies were too bright to do really stupid things.  Then I realized that the only reason there were no storm hunters back then was because there were no storms big enough to chase.  Ours was a tranquil world.

It was fun when girls and boys were different.  Only the girls cared about wrinkles.

Who Is Yanis?

Yanis Varoufakus is the "outed" former Finance Minister of Greece -  the only honest man in the EU.  That's why he's out on the street.  Perhaps he is lucky.  Christ was hung on a cross.

World Politics: Maniacs At The Helm

A report out of Canada suggests that world oil industry capex has been cut by a trillion U.S. dollars since the price of oil collapsed.  The world's most important commodity is trading like a penny stock.  In my opinion, this mega manipulation is clearly deliberate and designed to foment chaos.

Bernie Says No To Super Delegates

What is a super delegate?  I suspect that a super delegate is a soul who has done heavy lifting for the party in years past.  Perhaps a Congressman or a Senator with 20 years of service in that capacity.  Sad to think that people with this kind of seniority are considered to be of no merit as delegates at National Conventions.

Let's Talk Feminism

With all this emphasis on gender equity it has occurred to me that rampant feminists like Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren should not be surrounded by male security guards. Where are the female security guards?

The Free Shun Freedom

Voters across the Free World are expressing their fatigue with freedom by electing tribal leadership or by favoring outright dictatorship.  The next pin to fall will be the British vote to remain in the dictatorial European Union.

Canada is no exception to this slide into chaos.  At a recent Federal Liberal Convention delegates voted in favor of a new Constitution which most had never seen, let alone read.  Canadians are also clamoring for a change in their electoral system. They have no way of understanding what is on offer by way of an alternative, but they have opted for it anyway.  Freedom is hard won and easily lost.

The Ontario Sinkhole

Back in the days when men ran the Province of Ontario, the jurisdiction played host to half-a-dozen world-class engineering firms.  Today there are none.  When a one-hundred-million-dollar spanking new bridge failed, it was easy to discover that the engineering firm in charge was based in Spain.

Now we have a huge sinkhole in front of the Parliament Buildings in Canada's Capital city. It won't be long before politicians begin falling in.
