You Do Not Believe?

Don't feel bad. You did not abandon Christ. Christ abandoned you.

Isaiah Speaks Of Truth

Let me paraphrase Isaiah 59 verse 15: "When truth fails, he who departs from evil makes himself a prey."

In my opinion, Isaiah is speaking of the World as it is today.  Our great civilization was built on a firm foundation of faith in God.  Faith spawned integrity, and truth is impossible without integrity.  In the absence of faith, the word truth has no meaning.

Faith in God was once a "calling" world-wide.  That "calling" has now gone silent, and today’s youth are left without faith.  Non-believers turn on those of us who were blessed to have been "called" in years past.

In the absence of faith, truth has failed. When truth fails, those of us who refuse to embrace evil become prey.  So be it.

Callings And Memes

Oxford University Professor Richard Dawkins has put a modern spin on the word "calling", and  renamed it "meme". To my way of thinking, his word "meme", is simply a godless equivalent of the word calling.

One is “called” by the gift of faith and faith in turn embraces the concept of integrity. The word "meme" more often than not is used to describe the replication of negative (evil) ideas or concepts.

Professor Dawkins comes from an era when most of us were "called", but unfortunately he was not numbered among us. He therefore has no understanding of the meaning of the word as it relates to faith. In the absence of faith, Professor Dawkins has substituted atheism.

Since atheism does not imply integrity, Professor Dawkins is left with no rudder on his ship. Those of us who heard the call created the world that Professor Dawkins now criticizes. Without integrity drawn of faith, contracts cannot exist and the sacred US Constitution is meaningless.

Those of us who were called to Christ built the New World. Atheism has generated nothing of consequence and has violated most of the standards by which our modern utopia came to be.

Today, those of us who follow Christ are in a rapid state of decline, and persecuted by the new prevailing majority, atheists and agnostics. For the moment, the world belongs to Professor Dawkins, but atheism paves the road to tribalism.  A tribal Islamic meme is now sweeping the world, and Islam makes short work of atheists, gays, Christians and all other infidels.

Michael Moore Trashes America

America was once a Christian country where everyone got along.  Back then, ugly Michael Moore lived in the Muslim city that General Motors built, Flint, Michigan.  Moore later fled crime ridden Flint in favor of life in a huge mansion located at Traverse City, safe in Republican territory.

Today he trumpets his latest revelation:  He says that WE ARE ALL MUSLIMS!!!  Moore has an uncanny knack for offending just about everybody, not the least of whom would be people of the Muslim faith.

Obama In: Christ Out

CNN asks if a Muslim stewardess refusing to serve alcoholic beverages is the equivalent of a Christian Municipal clerk refusing to sign a gay marriage certificate.  Can a Muslim taxi driver refuse a passenger who smells of alcohol?

In our secular “rule of law” society the answers to these questions should be obvious.  Two questions apply to every case:  Is the activity legal?  Was it set out in a job description?  Clearly, a stewardess is hired to legally serve alcoholic beverages.  Taxi drivers cannot legally deny transport on the basis of body odor.  A Municipal court clerk is required to act within the legal framework of the municipality, state and country.  All concerned here should face dismissal if they refuse to perform legal tasks they have agreed to perform as a condition of their employment.

But the story doesn’t end here.  I suspect that the complaining Muslim stewardess and the Muslim taxi driver might already be out of work, but the Christian court clerk was not simply dismissed - she was sent to JAIL because she refused to sign the gay marriage certificate.

Christianity built the greatest civilization of this age.  Sad to realize that Christians now encounter murderous hostility everywhere on the planet.  Christians in America face jail time for their beliefs.  They need only look to Africa and the Middle East to foresee the carnage that lies ahead for followers of Christ.  Who is to blame?  When U.S. citizens voted to out Christ, the whole world quickly slid back into tribal chaos.  Today, there is no turning back.  It’s a death wish.

Pence Folds

Republican Governor Mike Pence of Indiana has capitulated in a vicious money-driven storm of protest over a newly minted Religious Freedom Law in his State.

I believe that the Governor is a Christian, as am I.  The Holy Spirit poured out in profusion over those of us who are seniors today.  This miracle has all but made a complete exit in the years since we were so blessed.  The few of us who still struggle to follow Christ must now contemplate crucifixion as we persist.  Governor Pence struggled valiantly and he lost.

In the absence of the Holy Spirit, most of today’s generation is unwittingly steered along a Road To Hell.  From thence come the vicious mobs that now behead those who insist on continued allegiance to Christ beyond our borders.  It’s coming home.

Americans have deliberately voted to reject Christ.  You and I, Governor Pence, are now numbered among the dispossessed.  We will live to see Christians face carnage across our precious land.  “The road to the Cross is narrow and steep”.

We love you Governor Pence.  “Truth above life”.

Why Christ Would Cry

As followers of Christ, we are told to turn the other cheek.  Our Prophet was NOT a revered warrior.  He went to the Cross to make this point.

It was OK to turn the other cheek when we lived in a Christian world.  Today, Christians are a disappearing minority struggling in the midst of a new tribal reality.  Tribalism sustains itself by violence.

The Christian conundrum?  There is no such thing as undefended freedom.

Islam: The Catch 22

I have been monitoring wars and other atrocities Worldwide for twenty years, and ninety-five percent of the time, Muslims have been participants in these hostilities.  As a result, I’m no fan of the Muslim Faith, but now I have a problem.

After welcoming thousands of Muslims to freedom, Canada has set out to bomb their home countries.  Every life we take in their homelands has the potential to activate terrorists in our midst here in Canada.  I am not blind to the horror of what ISIS is doing in Iraq and Syria, but how would you respond if their bombs were falling on us?

Islam wreaks havoc where ever it germinates, and now Canada, intending to be generous, finds itself hopelessly entangled in its clutches.  Damned if we do and damned if we don’t.  The Islamic Catch 22.

Christian Thought In A Tribal World

Our modern civilization was built on the solid foundation of christian philosophy.  Christian beliefs generated well being and prosperity while we forged ahead in isolation from the rest of the world.  In the centuries before the cruise liner and the jumbo jet, it took great courage to set out for the New World in the moldy bowels of sailing ships.  Christians under oppression made the journey in desperation.

Today, travel is inexpensive and easy, so our world is rapidly morphing to lifestyles imported from the four corners of the earth.  Sad to say that christianity is not up to the task of dealing with the competition.

You dare not “turn the other cheek” in a tribal world.  The rule is “eat or be eaten”.  And it’s suicide to attempt to “love thy neighbor” if his mission is to “kill the infidel”.

Free Will? Who Said So?

I cannot find the passage in the Bible that says God saddled humans with “free will”.  On the other hand I find lots of Biblical evidence to support the argument that the opposite is true.  God is so intimately in charge of every aspect of my life that He counts the hairs remaining on my balding head.  I believe that it would be profoundly disrespectful of me to assume that only my wholesome thoughts emanate from God.

Where did the persistent “free will” drumbeat come from?  My guess?  Guilt.  Christians cannot  imagine God  being responsible for even the tiniest act of individual evil, let alone the groundswell of atrocities overtaking the world as this age draws to a close.

My advice?  Get over it.  Grow up and smell the putrefaction.  I fear God.  I respect God, but I do not believe that God needs me to apologize for Him.

Christian Capitulation

Christians from many foreign lands have built a North American civilization that is the envy of the world in this age.  Today, negative christian birth rates world wide mean trouble for us in the Blessed Land.  Almost all new arrivals now come from other faiths.

Refugees flee brutal repressive tribal countries seeking freedom in our christian world.  Why then do these rescued souls insist on imposing their failed cultural practices on us?

And why do christians shrink from making “respect for our culture and our rule of law” a requisite for immigration?  Do we have to import failure in order to rescue failure?  If, because of our tolerance, we succumb to chaos, refugees will have nowhere to turn.  It’s an oxymoron.

Justice and Judgment

The words justice and judgment are used frequently in the Bible.  To my way of thinking, justice connotes rule of law {freedom}, and judgment applies to a monarchy or to despotism {slavery}.

We read the King James Bible and we have compared it’s content to words set out in a dozen or so newer Bible versions.  The words justice and judgment are often switched in modern Bible translations.

The words justice and judgment are at opposite ends of the spectrum of human existence.  Switching them alters the message completely and one of the two presentations is WRONG.  We are talking about God’s Word here and infallibility comes to mind.

Bible scholars conversant with many ancient languages and drawn from many countries, collaborated at great lengths to come to an agreement on the words in the King James Bible.  I wish that modern scholars had not taken the flock in directions opposite to those set out five hundred years ago.  There are already too many forks in the road of life.

Christ: A Mystery Wrapped In An Enigma

Who was Christ?  Where did he sleep at night?  He was homeless. He had no shoes.  He had no church.  He had no money and suggested that those who did should give it away.  We don’t even know his surname.

Would we acknowledge or even recognize Christ if we met Him in the street today?  Probably not, but His message has spread to the four corners of our troubled world:  Truth above life.

God And I

God and I are not on the best of terms.  I’m stuck.  I cannot call myself an agnostic or an atheist.  Too many miracles.   I consider every birth to be a miracle and I think that consciousness is miraculous.

Unfortunately for me, the Old Testament Book of Job rings like an echo.  God conspired openly with the Devil to destroy Job’s life because Job was apparently a bit too proud of himself.  No, Job was not a mass murder.  He was an elder in his community.  When Job was too old to enjoy the fruits of his labors, God returned what was his.  I see this as vengeful cruelty.

In our case He took everything we had and just ran with it.  Same difference.

But who am I to complain?  As followers of Christ we are chastened by the knowledge that God hung His Son on a CROSS.

God Gone

The Bible tells us that God’s blessing is gone because we don’t follow His rules.  So we are to blame.  I don’t believe this.  I think it’s the other way around.

This generation is in a hell of a mess because God decided to abandon planet Earth.

We are all victims.  I plead Not Guilty.
